The program for encouraging the development of entrepreneurship through financial support for start-ups in business in 2020 is implemented by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
The program for encouraging the development of entrepreneurship through financial support for start-ups in business in 2020 is implemented by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
The overall objective of the program is to encourage the development of entrepreneurship and sustainable economic development.
The specific objectives of the program are as follows:
– Increasing the number of business entities;
– Support for beginners to start their independent businesses;
– promotion of employment;
– support for women's entrepreneurship, youth and social entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurs, micro and small companies that have been registered with the Business Registers Agency for at least two years from the year of application, have the right to apply for the public call.
The funds are intended for:
– Ongoing maintenance of the business or production premises up to an amount of 350,000.00 dinars of the total investment funds, regardless of whether the facility in which the activity is carried out is leased or owned by the applicant;
– Purchase of the equipment (new or used, less than five years old);
– Operating costs, which can account for up to 20% of the total investment structure.
Business entities that meet the requirements of the Program may qualify for financial support in the form of grants of up to 30% of the investment value, or up to 40% of the investment value for businesses belonging to the local self-governmental units that are classified in the fourth development group in accordance with Article 12 of the Law on Regional Development and the Government’s document by which a single list of the development of regions and local self – governmental units is established. The remaining amount of the investment will be financed from the loan of the Fund with a repayment period of up to 5 years within which the grace period is up to one year, with an interest rate of 1% per annum with a bank guarantee or 2% per annum with other collateral, including the application of a currency clause.
The total grants available for the implementation of the program amount to 150,000,000.00 dinars.
The amount of total funds granted to entrepreneurs and legal entities under this Program may not be less than 400,000.00 dinars (loan in the amount of 280,000.00 dinars and grants in the amount of 120,000.00 dinars, or loan in the amount of 240,000.00 dinars and grants in the amount of 160,000.00 dinars for economic entities from the local self-governmental units classified in the fourth development group), nor more than 6,000,000.00 dinars (loan in the amount of 4,200,000.00 dinars and grants in the amount of 1,800,000.00 dinars, or loan in the amount of 3,600,000.00 dinars and grants in the amount of RSD 2,400,000.00 for economic entities from the local self-governmental units classified in the fourth development group).
The public call is open until the funds have been spent or until December 31, 2020.
