The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure issued a public call for grants from the budget of the Republic of Serbia in 2018 for co-developing technical documentation for the improvement of energy efficiency of the public buildings owned by local self-governments, with the aim of improving energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption of public buildings, providing the prerequisites for obtaining funds for the realization of investments in energy efficiency in local self-governments, as well as for raising awareness about the importance of this topic.

The total planned funds earmarked for the public call amount to 5,000,000.00 dinars, which were provided by the Law on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2018.

The funds allocated by the Ministry for co-financing the preparation of technical documentation may not exceed the amount of 480,000.00 dinars, or a maximum of 80% of the cost of preparing technical documentation. The funds are awarded solely for that purpose and cannot be awarded retroactively, or for the technical documentation that has already been done.

Eligible to receive the funds are the local self-governmental units that have provided in their budgets for 2018 a portion of the funds for improvements in energy efficiency.  

Applications to the public call, along with the accompanying documentation, should be submitted by mail to the following address: The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure – The Department for Residential and Architectural Policies, Public Utilities and Energy Efficiency, Nemanjina 22-26, 11000 Belgrade, marked "The Application for a Public Call for Co-Financing Technical Documentation for the Improvement of Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings Owned by Local Self-Governmental Units,” or directly to the records management office of the republican bodies (in a sealed envelope with the full address of the sender on the back of the envelope).
