PROTECTIVE MASKS ARE OBLIGATORY OUTDOORS, TOO

The Government of the Republic of Serbia announced that the latest decisions on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus were reached at the session of the Crisis Staff for the Protection of the Health of the Population from the COVID-19 Infectious Disease.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia announced that the latest decisions on the prevention of the spread of coronavirus were reached at the session of the Crisis Staff for the Protection of the Health of the Population from the COVID-19 Infectious Disease.

Gatherings in public indoor and outdoor places of more than ten people are banned in the territory of the entire Republic of Serbia, regardless of whether a state of emergency has been declared in a specific municipality or city. During the stay in public places, there must be a 1.5 meter distance between those gathered or each person must occupy a minimum of four square meters.  The measure concerning protective masks, which is in force in Belgrade, has been extended to the entire territory of the Republic of Serbia, without any exceptions.  Protective masks are obligatory outdoors as well, in places where it is not possible to provide a 1.5 meter distance, such as queues in front of shops, pharmacies, bus and train stops and the like. It is recommended to wear protective masks in all other outdoor public places.  All the measures adopted at the session of the Crisis Staff shall become effective as of Friday, July 17.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia once again appealed to the citizens to comply with all the adopted measures for the sake of their own health and the health of their loved ones. It was also pointed out that if all citizens wore protective masks constantly every time they left their homes, such a measure would be equivalent to a movement ban, because in that way epidemiologically risky contacts and the spread of the coronavirus would be prevented.
