On the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly, October 1, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality launched a competition for the best literary work, art work and photography on the theme "Bridge of Understanding – Intergenerational Solidarity".

Students of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade of elementary schools from the Republic of Serbia can apply for the competition and express their views on the given topic that one’s advanced age does not have to and must not be an obstacle to a dignified and quality life and thus contribute to the fight against discrimination against the elderly in our society.

Prizes

• First prize: a new generation of mobile phone
• Second prize: a wireless Bluetooth speaker
• Third Prize: a digital photo frame 

An expert jury will be deciding about the works.  The results of the competition will be posted on September 25, 2019 on the Commissioner's website (www.ravnopravnost.gov.rs ).

The deadline for the submission of works is September 20, 2019.

Each student can submit three (3) works for each category.

The works must be original, self-made and submitted according to the instructions for each category.

The works shall not be returned and the organizer reserves the right to use them in campaigns to promote equality and to use them in the press.
