Vranje, Leskovac –  Mladen Sarcevic, the Education Minister, said that the new results showed that the final exam in four school administrations, covering Pcinj, Jablanica and Raska districts, as well as Kosovo and Metohija, had been carried out appropriately and that there had not been any serious irregularities, so that school directors and heads of school administrations in those districts would not be replaced

"The first analysis that I received from the expert services showed large deviations of the test results from those districts from the republican results. Today, however, I got new, more accurate results that showed a different state of affairs. Those districts really did well this year. I previously stated differently, since I obtained such information, "Minister Sarcevis said.  

This year, students of many schools received significantly more points in their primary school final test than it is realistic in relation to their school marks at the end of the school year.

Minister Sarcevic announced a new concept of the primary school final test, but added that it would not happen in the following school year.   

He also announced the introduction of the testing of students at the national level every two years.

“We agreed with our colleagues from the region to hold an international conference in Belgrade on October 26, when we will specify our cooperation. Our neighboring countries are interested in organizing a regional testing of students' knowledge of certain grades every second year. In that way we will get the best possible overview of the state of affairs in education, " Minister Sarcevic said.
