Presevo – Sciprim Arifi, the President of the Provisional Council of Presevo, met in Belgrade with the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan during the recent visit of that statesman to Serbia.

As reported by the local media in Albanian, Mr. Arifi, on that occasion, received firm assurances of further cooperation between South Serbia and Turkey.

According to some sources, Turkey is ready to invest one billion dollars in Serbia, of which a significant portion of it could end up in South Serbia.

“President Erdogan personally promised Arifi that Presevo would be on the list of investment priorities in infrastructure projects, as well as the sending of at least one serious Turkish investor to Presevo

At the meeting between President Erdogan and Mr. Arifi, the dynamics of communication and  further activities for fulfilling the promises and concrete demands were agreed, "the media speculate.

According to those sources, Mr. Arifi has been officially invited to pay a visit to the Turkish Ministry of Economy.
