Medvedja – Under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the municipality of Medvedja, the Tourist Organization of Medvedja and the Special Rehabilitation Hospital "Geyser" from Sijarinska Spa successfully organized the 21 st. in a row "Geyser Nights" event, which is the major tourist happening in the municipality of Medvedja that lasted from July 28 to August 2.  

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, was satisfied with how the event was organized and with the number of visitors, which kept growing from day to day. 

At the same time, the traditional football tournament "Sijarinska Spa 2018" was taking place in the municipality of Medvedja. The tournament lasted three days, while the finale was held in Sijarinska Spa on August 2, which is the day of Saint Ilija’s Assembly.  The cups and awards were presented by Branislav Manasijevic, the President of the Sports Federation of the Municipality of Medvedja.  

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said that "Geyser nights" was the major event in the municipality of Medvedja, but not the only one. The diaspora, too, gathered over the past weekend. A gathering of the Albanian Diaspora was organized in Sijarinska Spa on Saturday evening, while a „Homeland Meeting“ of the residents of the Upper Jablanica region or  distinguished members of the Serbian Disapora that have left their birthplace was organized on Sunday evening.     

The "International Festival of Folk Ensembles – Medvedja 2018" will be held on August 15 and 16, when folk ensembles from Poland, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Serbia will perform.

The traditional "Golden Pot" event,  as well as “ Under a Baking Bell” and "Cultural Summer" events, are reserved for the end of August, which makes the tourist offer of the municipality of Medvedja rich and colorful.
