Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja –  Amendments to the Law on Financial Support to Families with Children, which provide for the payment of larger parental allowances, have become effective. 

The law provides that parents receive a one-off payment of 100,000 dinars for the first child, 10,000 dinars per month for two years for the second child, 12,000 dinars per month for 10 years for the third child and 18,000 dinars per month for ten years for the fourth child.    

"The payment starts as of July 1, which is in accordance with the law, while we shall make a retroactive adjustment and  provide a new method of payment for the second, third and fourth child," said Zoran Djordjevic, the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.  

He said that the payment of funds applied to the second, third and fourth child as of December  25, 2017, and to the first child as of July 1, 2018. The requirements that parents or children need to meet include the compulsory vaccination and the attendance of preschool and school program in accordance with the law of the Republic of Serbia.
