The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, sends a public call to civil society organizations to submit nominations for membership in a Special Inter-Ministerial Working Group for drafting the Action Plan for the implementation of the initiative Partnership for Open Governance in the Republic of Serbia for the 2020-2022 period. 

The main tasks of the Special Inter-Ministerial Working Group are, inter alia, to develop an Action Plan for the implementation of the Partnership for Open Governance Initiative in the Republic of Serbia for the 2018-2020 period, conducting the consultation process with civil society, monitoring the implementation of the activities defined in the previous and current Action Plans and meeting the deadlines, proposing amendments to the Action Plan and drafting interim and final reports on the implementation of the activities from the previous and current Action Plans. 

The objective of this public call is to select up to 7 (seven) civil society organizations through a public and transparent process whose representatives will be nominated to the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government for membership of the Special Inter-Ministerial Working Group to develop an Action Plan for implementing the initiative Partnerships for Open Governance in the Republic of Serbia 2020-2022.

The call for proposals is intended for civil society organizations that are active in one of the following areas:

• The public administration reform,
• Democratization
• The Rule of law and public administration,
• The fight against corruption
•  Transparency and monitoring the work of the public administration bodies,
• Monitoring public finance and public procurements,
• Analysis and methodology of preparing public policies;
• Open data,
• The active participation of citizens in political decision-making,
• Promotion and development of new technologies and innovations in order to improve public services
• Civic participation and involvement of citizens in decision-making;
• Monitoring the quality of administrative services;
• Decentralization.

Associations and other civil society organizations established and registered in accordance with the positive regulations of the Republic of Serbia acting in any of the areas established by this public call shall have the right to participate in the public call.

The deadline for submissions is February 14, 2020 at 3.30pm.

Interested civil society organizations are obliged to submit their applications together with the documentation stipulated by the public call within the specified deadline exclusively by e-mail to office@civilnodrustvo.gov.rs  with the note: “Partnership for Open Governance – Application for Membership in the Special Inter-Ministerial Working Group.”
