Bujanovac – According to Rahim Salihi, the Head of the municipal Investment and Development Department, the local self-government continues with the spring cleaning and fixing up of Bujanovac and the turn of the area around the Bujanovac Health Center has now come.

A dozen employees of the PE “Komunalac” are engaged in cleaning the area around the central health care facility in the municipality, which, according to Mr. Salihi, was quite neglected.

“As part of the city-cleaning operation, which has been going on for three weeks, we are thoroughly cleaning the area around the Health Center, for which the health care facility workers say has not been cleaned for years, as evidenced by the amount of thrown away garbage. This area must be maintained, regardless of the coronavirus situation, "Mr. Salihi said.

According to him, the local self-government uses the state of emergency and curfew to raise the level of cleanliness of public areas in the city.                                                                                     

“We have removed several illegal dumps and thoroughly cleaned and washed the main street. We will continue working in the Gjilane Street, then in the part located at the entrance to the city, as well as in the street leading to the town market.  We will finally thoroughly clean the streets near the kindergarten,” Mr. Salihi said.

In cooperation with the local community of Veliki Trnovac, the cleaning up of that settlement will be done, too.  Mr. Salihi extended special thanks to a large number of locals who expressed their willingness to volunteer in the action undertaken in that village.
