The Office of the Minister without a Portfolio in Charge of Innovation and Technological Development issued a public call for the award of grants under the Program for Supporting the Innovation Capacity of Local Self-Governmental Units in the Republic of Serbia.

The funds are intended for the implementation of the projects that implement new technologies and models within the concept of "smart and safe cities" that will make the lives of the citizens in cities and municipalities in the Republic of Serbia safer, simpler and cheaper, and the cities and municipalities inclusive, efficient and sustainable.  

The overall objective of the Program is to systematically improve the innovation capacities of cities and municipalities through a comprehensive approach to the digital transformation of public services, the economy and society, which should enable sustainable, more efficient use of resources, a responsible attitude towards the environment and increase the quality of life of all the citizens.

The maximum amount per approved project is 40,000,000.00 dinars.

The right to use a grant has a local self-governmental unit that:   

1)  Meets the requirements of the Program,  

2)  Encloses a study that provides for the implementation of a project that contributes to meeting the objectives set by the Program.

A local self-governmental unit may submit only one application for the public call. The application cannot be jointly submitted by several self-governmental units.

The deadline for submitting applications is until there are available funds allocated by the Program or until December 31, 2019.
