Bujanovac – The first meeting on the initiative to launch an advocacy campaign for the adoption of the Special Protocol for the Protection of Children from all forms of violence, abuse and neglect was organized by the Bujanovac-based Youth Forum for the Education of Roma (OFER).
According to Kenan Rasitovic, the Executive Director of the OFER, the campaign was initiated by the UNICEF and the "Uzice Center for Child’s Rights", with the financial support of the European Union.
“The aim of this and other meetings of representatives of all civil society institutions and organizations is the promotion of zero tolerance to violence against children. The launched campaign will be implemented in 20 municipalities, including Bujanovac. Apart from this activity, there will surely be other ones aimed at protecting children, "Mr. Rasitovic said.
The campaign will last until the beginning of next year, when the adoption of the Special Protocol for the Protection of Children is expected. The OFER will be one of the associates on the aforementioned program.
