Saip Kamberi, President of the municipality of Bujanovac, as an authorised representative of the Albanian ethnic minority in Serbia, submitted a  request for   developing a special electoral roll for the election of the National Council of that minority.

Saip Kamberi, President of the municipality of Bujanovac, as an authorised representative of the Albanian ethnic minority in Serbia, submitted a  request for   developing a special electoral roll for the election of the National Council of that minority.

– In addition to the request, I also submitted 3,494  signatures that had been verified in a court of law, which should be enough for the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights to approve us the establishment of  the  special electoral roll – Mr. Kamberi said. In order to have a direct election, it is necessary that at least 24,000 Albanians enter their names in the electoral roll.
