NORWEGIAN EMBASSY IN BELGRADE: OPEN CALL “STRENGTHENING THE EU INTEGRATION OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO” (DEADLINE: JULY 1, 2017)

The Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade opened the call for proposals entitled “Strengthening the EU Integration Process in Serbia and Montenegro."

The Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade opened the call for proposals entitled “Strengthening the EU Integration Process in Serbia and Montenegro."

The overall objective of the Norwegian support to the countries of the Western Balkans is to contribute to the rule of law and stability through initiatives that promote stability, socio-economic development at the level of individual countries and regions and good governance.

The development aid is guided by the following topics: human rights, gender and women's rights, climate and ecology and the fight against corruption.

The objective of the call is to provide support to the projects in three priority areas of the Norwegian development aid to the ministries, local self-governments and institutions involved in the promotion and strengthening of the EU integration of Serbia and Montenegro. The proposed activities must contribute to the process of the EU integration of Serbia and Montenegro in one or more of the following areas: public procurement, competition and justice and fundamental rights, justice, freedom and security, financial controls and other matters.

The Embassy will grant support to selected partners for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension. The application for the grant should be above 100, 000 euro. Project implementation period is 24 months from the date of approval of the application.

Civil society organizations can not participate in the grant scheme, but they can be partners in projects. A special call for applications will be issued for civil society organizations at a later stage. Commercial organizations are not eligible for support under this call, but they can participate in the project costs if their services are contracted through public procurement.

The call for applications is open until July 1, 2017.

Once a complete application is received, the applicant will receive a certificate from the Embassy. The applicant will be notified of the decision by an e-mail from the Embassy.  The names of the selected partners will be posted on the website of the Embassy.

The total sum of the grant contract is presented in Norwegian kroner (NOK). Payments will be made in euros.
