The Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja announced two open competitions for funding the projects by which social welfare, minority rights and the operation of NGOs in South Serbia will be improved.
The Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja announced two open competitions for funding the projects by which social welfare, minority rights and the operation of NGOs in South Serbia will be improved.
Nine million dinars will be earmarked for meeting the cultural needs of children and the young, for improving communication and tolerance among members of different nationalities, national minorities and ethnic communities, as well as for projects to be implemented in the fields of healthcare, education and sports.
The Coordination Body for South Serbia earmarked three million dinars for improving the capacitiies of NGOs and civil society organizations, as well as for encouraging youth activities, bringing the young from Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja closer to the young from other parts of Serbia, educating the population of South Serbia about the use of the rights that are enshrined in the Constitution, about repect for human rights and the building of peace, democracy and inter-tolerance.
The entire documentation on the open competitions is available on the Coordination Body’s website www.kt.gov.rs and at the Coordination Body’s Offices in Presevo and Bujanovac. The competitions will be opened until August 21, 2009. NGOs, associations of citizens, non-profot organizations and legal entities registered in the territory of the Republic of Serbia will have the right to take part in these two competitions.
