Bujanovac – Bane Stanojkovic, a representative of the German NGO "HELP," and Saip Kamberi, the Mayor of Bujanovac, signed in Bujanovac an agreement on the project of support to returnees in readmission, as well as to socially vulnerable local population.
The support includes the awarding of grants, or grants for starting people’s own businesses, the possibility of reconstructing housing facilities, as well as vocational training and the provision of textbooks for children, Mr. Stanojkovic said.
The project will be implemented in Serbia over the next three years, while its total value is nearly 3 million euros. It will be financed by the Ministry of Economic Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany.
“The implementation of another important project, which has to do with providing our citizens help with self-employment, will start in a month’s time, ", Mayor Kamberi said, stating that such a project, along with the assistance programs that are financed from the budget of the local self-government, will provide additional opportunities for self-employment.
Mayor Kamberi voiced satisfaction that the NGO "HELP" had come back to Bujanovac after a four-year pause.
The presence of any international organization in our community is very important to us, especially of the organizations such as "HELP", which has, so far, been an example of good practice, "Mayor Kamberi said.
