Bujanovac – The holdings of the Bujanovac "14 November" library are richer for 318 books, which mainly consist of fiction books and children's reading books.
The new books, published by the Belgrade-based "Laguna" publishing house, were purchased thanks to the financial assistance of the municipality of Bujanovac, which had earmarked 150,000 dinars in its budget for that purpose.
“The local self-government provides funds for the purchase of books every year, just as does the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, from which we get the books worth 600,000 dinars every year, "said Ivana Taskovic, a librarian of the "14 November" library.
The said institution, which includes satellite libraries in the villages of Veliki Trnovac, Muhovac, Biljaca and Klenik, has nearly 800 regular members. Among them are Goran Nicic, Nebojsa Dimitrijevic, Flutra Limani and Marigona Mehmeti, who were declared to be the most avid readers in 2016. The library awarded them with a membership card for 2017 and a book with a dedication.
