Medvedja – Scientific Conference entitled "Quality System Requirement for Successful Business and Competitiveness" was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, with the aim that the quality system becomes a requirement for successful business operations and competitiveness in the municipalities.

The municipality of Medvedja was presented at the said international conference as an example of good practice in human resources management.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, presented the municipality of Medvedja in the best possible way, as an example of how the degree of efficiency and citizen satisfaction with the local self-government increases with the establishment of a professional training system and an improvement in the human resources management function.

The Association for Quality and Standardization of Serbia is a non-governmental organization that brings together enthusiasts motivated by the idea that a system of quality and competitiveness becomes a requirement for successful local self-governments. The aforementioned scientific meeting is traditionally held in the last week of November.
