Medvedja – The local self-government of the municipality of Medvedja has launched a call for the award of scholarships to secondary school students for the period 2020/2021, while the period for applying to the call began on November 4 and lasts until November 18, at 3 p.m.

The municipality of Medvedja will award student scholarships in the monthly amount of 6,000 dinars to secondary school students who have residence in Medvedja, and attend one of the secondary schools in the municipalities of Medvedja, Leskovac and Lebane.  

The scholarships shall be paid for the months of September, October, November and December 2020, and if the funds are provided in the budget for 2021, they shall be paid continuously until the end of the 2020/2021 school year.

Funds for 60 scholarships have been allocated from the budget of the Coordination Body’s Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in the amount of 1,440,000 dinars.  

The general requirements of the call are that the students have citizenship of the Republic of Serbia and residence in the municipality of Medvedja, that they were enrolled in the first, second, third or fourth grade of some of the secondary schools founded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia for the first time in the  2020/2021 school year, that they achieved excellent or very good school results and did not repeat any grades during their previous schooling.
