Bujanovac – The local self- government says that it, along with the traffic police, would soon solve the chronic problem of parking vehicles in the city’s public areas.

Persons in charge of the issue said that the cars that had been “forgotten” by their owners, since they were not drivable, would be removed from the sidewalks, too.  

The situation on Bujanovac sidewalks, during extremely cold days, is complicated by the cars parked on the pavements, where traffic signs strictly prohibit it.

Therefore, pedestrians do not have much choice. They take risks by either squeezing themselves through narrow, icy passageways, or, on their own responsibility, walk along the streets, where there is no ice.

Based on the conclusion of the Municipal Council, the presence of the competent inspection authorities in the field will be intensified, so that snow and ice could be finally removed from Bujanovac sidewalks. Accordingly, inspectors will order all owners of business premises to clean the areas in front of their shops. According to the weather forecast, the forecasted increase in daytime temperatures will, to some extent, help them do that.
