MUNICIPAL COUNCIL APPROVED THE PLAN FOR WATER RESTRICTIONS

Bujanovac – Public Enterprise "Komunalac" in Bujanovac got the requested approval of the Municipal Council for the planned restrictions in water supply during the summer period.

Bujanovac – Public Enterprise "Komunalac" in Bujanovac got the requested approval of the Municipal Council for the planned restrictions in water supply during the summer period.

The approval of the plan was required due to increased water consumption. The restrictions will be used only in case of need, when the normal regime of supplying with drinking water is jeopardized.

In that case, it was planned that the interruption of water supply in five zoned areas would take place from 2 pm to 8 pm every working day.  The village of Veliki Trnovac is in the first zone, the villages of Karadnik and the Srpska Kuca in the second, the villages of Ljiljance and Zuzeljica in the third, the villages of Levosoje and Oslare in the fourth, and the villages of Lucane and Turija in the fifth.

Water in each zone will be turned off on specific days, so that water in the first zone will be turned off on Mondays, in the second on Tuesdays and so on, until Friday.

In the request of "Komunalac" for the approval of the plan, it was stated that the objective of introducing restrictions in water supply was providing water to the places situated at higher spots. A representative of the public company informed members of the Municipal Council that water supply in the territory of the municipality of Bujanovac was regular, amounting to 80 liters of water per second, which is the same as the amount of water at the town’s water source, where 13 wells are used, as well as four in the village of Turija.
