Belgrade – Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, said that following Pristina’s decision to form the so-called Army of Kosovo, that the situation in the southern Serbian municipalities was normal and calm and that there was no any euphoria.
"There were no euphoria and the displaying of the American or any other flag, although there may have been some people who rejoiced the event at their homes," Mr. Stankovic said.
He stated that people in the southern Serbian municipalities were currently more burdened with weather conditions than with what was happening in Pristina.
"Everything went off the way we expected. Snow was more surprising to them, since they paid more attention to snow than to what was happening there," Mr. Stankovic said.
He stated that the situation in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja was peaceful, that our security structures, as well as the local self-governments, carried out their tasks.
