“For Serbia, it was very important that it behaved responsibly and seriously”, said Zoran Stankovic, referring to Edi Rama’s visit to Belgrade. He pointed out that the Albanians living in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja were Serbian citizens and that their problems must be solved with the Serbian authorities.

Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, said for the “Talasanje” program of Radio Belgrade 1 that childhood illnesses in the relations of the two countries had been overcome by Edi Rama's visit to Serbia.

“It was very important for Serbia that it behaved responsibly and seriously”, said Zoran Stankovic.

He says that there was a genuine desire to reach a fair cooperation between Serbia and Albania.

Mr. Stankovic underscored that the Albanians living in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja were the citizens of Serbia and that their problems must be solved with the Serbian authorities and through the seven-point document.

“All those people who run the local self-governments must act in accordance with the regulations of the Republic of Serbia, and the same goes for Jonuz Musliju, who, as the President of the Bujanovac Municipal Assembly, must obey all the laws of the Republic of Serbia”, Mr. Stankovic said.
