Bujanovac – The newspaper article under the title of "A Truly Unique Business" by Nikola Lazic, the editor of the Bujanovac portal, published in the Vranjske weekly, where Mr. Lazic is also an editor, is one of the six nominated newspaper articles for the annual award for investigative journalism, which has been, for twelve years in a row, awarded by the Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (IJAS), with the support of the US Embassy.
Bujanovac – The newspaper article under the title of "A Truly Unique Business" by Nikola Lazic, the editor of the Bujanovac portal, published in the Vranjske weekly, where Mr. Lazic is also an editor, is one of the six nominated newspaper articles for the annual award for investigative journalism, which has been, for twelve years in a row, awarded by the Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (IJAS), with the support of the US Embassy.
Mr. Lazic’s newspaper article is the only one of the nominated texts that was published in some media outside Belgrade.
A jury composed of prominent journalists and editors reached a decision on nominations in three categories: electronic (TV and radio), print and online media.
The winning entries will be announced at a ceremony which is traditionally held at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade on May 10, 2017.
In 2012, Mr. Lazic was the laureate of the award for his text on Darko Saric’s business dealings in South Serbia.
