Bujanovac – I am sure that the political leaders of the Albanians are not happy either  about the way in which the municipal government was formed, said the former Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, Stojanca Arsic, at the constitutive session of the Assembly on Wednesday.

He says that the Albanians themselves, the inhabitants of the municipality, will not be satisfied with the newly established all-Albanian ruling majority.

"I hope that conditions will be provided in the near future to remedy this, but it will be difficult, a lot of spears will be broken around that matter," he said.

Mr. Arsic, who was a part of the multiethnic government in Bujanovac in several previous mandates, emphasized that that time he had not negotiated with anyone about the new majority.

A new government consisting of Albanian parties was established in Bujanovac on Wednesday – the Democratic Party (DP) of new Mayor Nagip Arifi, the Party for Democratic Action (PDD), the Movement for Democratic Progress (PDP) and the Alternative for Change.

A few days earlier, according to the Head of members of the Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) in Bujanovac, Nenad Mitrovic, the coalition agreement between the SPP, Nagip Arifi and Sciprim Musliu (PDP) was a "done thing".

An invitation from Tirana to the Albanian leaders followed, after which Bujanovac got a new government, the "all-Albanian" one, and the coalition around the SPP, despite the best election results ever, ended up in opposition again, together with Mr. Arsic from the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and two Roma parties.
