Bujanovac – There are more children enrolled in the first grade than last year in the elementary school "Vuk Stefanović Karadzic" in the village of Levosoj, while classes for all grades take place exclusively in the school.
“We have 6 more first graders than last year, or a total of 21 of them. Nineteen students attend classes at their home school in the village of Levosoj, while there are two more first graders in the class in the village of Oslare", School Director Dragan Tomic said.
There is no distance learning in this school.
“Classes in our school are conducted according to the basic model – everyone goes to school every day. The only change we have introduced is that classes for lower grade students start 15 minutes later than usually, which is at 8 am, which has minimized contact between younger and older students, "Mr. Tomic said.
As an additional measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, mandatory taking of children’s temperature was introduced, for which teachers are in charge.
“We have provided thermometers and teachers or class teachers measure the temperature of each child when they arrive at school. All students wear masks, as well as the teachers, while we disinfect the school premises after every break and take maximum care of hygiene, "the Director said.
