MINISTRY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT: SUPPORT FOR FIVE PROJECTS FROM SOUTH SERBIA

Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja –  The results of the call for programs and projects in the field of  providing information in the languages of national minorities are posted on the website of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government.

Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja –  The results of the call for programs and projects in the field of  providing information in the languages of national minorities are posted on the website of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government.  

Of the 163 projects, as many as 17 or 10.4 per cent of the projects were from one of the seven municipalities of the Pcinj District. Of the 77 projects that received funds from the Ministry,   only five or 6.5 per cent of them were from that region.

The projects that were accepted at the competition are the following:

1. The QARG Center from Bujanovac, 400,000 dinars;

2. The Center for Activism from Vranje, 242,150 dinars;

3. The information portal "Titulli" from Bujanovac, 200,000 dinars;

4. The Citizens' Initiative for the Future of Bosilegrad, 200,000 dinars and

5. The Team for Development and Integration (the publisher of Info Vranjske) from Vranje, 180,000 dinars.

Among the 75 projects that were not accepted at the competition, nine are from the Pcinj district:

1. The  "Valley“  Center for Democracy and Education from Bujanovac;

2. The  „VOICE“ association from Bosilegrad;

3.The  Roma Center for Democracy from Bujanovac;

4. The cultural and humanitarian organization „International Alternative” from Bujanovac;

5. The ORD from Bujanovac;  

6. The "Perspectives" journal from Bujanovac;

7. The “Ethics "association of journalists from Bujanovac and

8. The Bulgarian-Serbian Center from Vranje.

 

Among the nine projects that did not meet the requirements of the competition, as many as three are from  South Serbia:

1. RTV Rhythm from Vranje Spa;

2. Youth for Innovations 063 from Presevo and

3. RTV Aldi from Presevo.

Most funds allocated in this competition were to the "Brotherhood” newspaper from Nis, 500,000 dinars.
