Presevo – Aleksandar Vulin, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, said at the event of marking a two years’ long operation of the Reception Center in Presevo that “over three million donated euros were invested in the Center and the Serbian government did not have the burden of any budgetary expenditures in the migrant crisis ".

“The biggest donor was the European Union, followed by our bilateral donors, Japan, Norway, Korea, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom, while a large direct financial assistance arrived from Germany, which, through various projects, invested heavily both in Presevo, and in the whole of Serbia, "Minister Vulin said.

As indicated by the Ministry of Labor, Minister Vulin said that the goal was initially to take care of migrants, but as the crisis started to deepen, work on their legal and healthcare protection started, so that they could feel dignified in Serbia.

“This is a country through which a million people passed without causing any incidents, which is thanks to the work of all offices and ministries and the tremendous support of all the citizens," Minister Vulin said.

Minister Vulin also said that that would have been impossible without the participation of all members of the Interior Ministry, the Army of Serbia and the Ministries of Defense and Health.
