Bujanovac – Mladen Sarcevic, the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, visited Bujanovac, where, upon meeting with Saip Kamberi, the President of the Bujanovac municipality, he visited the Department of the Faculty of Economics from Subotica.

Earlier in Vranje, the Minister met with Directors of preschool institutions, primary and secondary schools in Pcinj district, where he presented to them the Ministry’s plan of activities and the changes that would follow in the coming period, it was announced by the Republican Government.

Minister Sarcevic underlined the necessity of changing the composition of school boards, teacher training and school directors, as well as the different role of parents.

“Personnel and technical capacities of the school administration and inspection will be increased in the coming period, because they are two important arms of the Ministry. The school administration must become a real service, while inspections should better control the work of schools, "the Minister said.

He explained that school administrations should do and external evaluations of schools, too, while inspections, along with those school administrations, should ensure that the innovations, which would be introduced through the reform, reached the underdeveloped parts of Serbia, too.
