Leskovac – Milan Krkobabic, Minister responsible for regional development, visited, yesterday, the Jablanica District, where he held a meeting as part of the project of support to the implementation of the Program of support to the implementation of the measures of a balanced regional development of Serbia.

The program is being implemented through the participation of the state in economic and financial incentives for the establishment of new cooperatives and investment projects of the existing cooperatives in 2017, particularly in the Nis, Toplica, Pirot, Jablanica and Pcinj Districts. As part of the visit to the Jablanica District, a meeting was held that was attended by representatives of the municipalities of Medvedja, Bojnik, Vlasotince, Lebane and Crna Trava, as well as by representatives of agricultural cooperatives and cooperative unions from the aforementioned district.

Topics discussed in the meeting included implementation of the program of financial support to agricultural cooperatives from the Jablanica Administrative District and the role of the local self- governments in its implementation.

After the meeting, Minister Krkobabic visited the agricultural cooperative "Green Star" in the village of Vinarce, as well as the farm of Ivan Stamenkovic, who is a member of the said agricultural cooperative.
