At the invitation of the Municipal Assembly of Platamon, Greece, the cultural association “Medvedja” from the municipality of Medvedja took part in the First International Festival of General Culture in Platamon from May 30 to 31.

“In a beautiful setting of the Platamon coast, the cultural association “Medvedja” presented the dances, songs and traditions of our people. The large audience, which included both the hosts and our tourists, loudly hailed the performances of all the participants.

“Our association presented the dances from the Trstenik area, as well as those from the Kosovo Morava valley, "said Dejan Jovanovic Jogi, the choreographer of the cultural association “Medvedja”.

The “Sveti Nikola (St. Nicholas) folk ensemble from Trstenik participated in the festival, too, as well as the host’s three folk ensembles, which were  from Platamon, Nei Pori and Katerini.

To make the stay of our association memorable, our hosts, apart from making it possible for us to spend time on the sandy beaches of Nei Pori on a daily basis and to swim in the warm sea, organized trips to AAphrodite’s springs  and Platamon fortress, which particularly impressed the youngest members of our association,” said Dejan Jovanovic-Jogi.
