Mr. Arifi and Mr. Kamberi expressed satisfaction with the meeting, while the Mayor of Bujanovac stated that "local politicians will, in the future, cooperate much more closely with representatives of the embassies accredited to the country."
Mr. Kamberi said on his Facebook page that "the strongest focus of the international community is on the needs (of the citizens) and on the current situation", reports the Bujanovac-based “Titulli” portal, which is in Albanian.
Mr. Arifi said that he, along with Mr. Kamberi, "informed the Ambassador of the current political situation."
He tweeted that, during the talks, Ambassador Keefe expressed satisfaction with the "constructive and pragmatic resolution of technical and political problems" in Presevo and Bujanovac.
Ambassador Keefe, too, made a comment on the meeting on Twitter: "Talks with the Mayors of Bujanovac and Presevo about the ideas for having constructive cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Serbia."
