Bujanovac – Yesterday, children from the “Our Joy” kindergarten in Bujanovac congratulated the Women’s Day to their mothers, grandmothers and aunts by having a special performance.  

The idea of ​​the holiday is that everyone should contribute to the elimination of discrimination against women in theory and practice, but also to appeal to the authorities to pursue the policy that is in accordance with the needs of women.

In addition to the performance, the children from the said kindergarten, as well as those from Bujanovac schools, presented various gifts to their loved ones, which they had made themselves. 

Each group of children gave a mini performance, recited poems about their mothers and sang and danced in honor of all women.

After the performance, everyone enjoyed the fine arts with the children and felt the joy of creating and presenting gifts to others, which was the objective of the gathering.

The International Women's Day is observed worldwide to remember the demonstrations of American female workers in Chicago in 1909 and a march of more than 15,000 women in New York, who asked for shorter working hours, better pay and voting rights.
