Bujanovac – The local community (LC) of Bujanovac proposed to the municipal authorities that the construction of a road from the Health Center to the old road be included in the budget for next year, which the Medical Emergency Service would use exclusively for emergency transport of patients.

According to Aca Velkovic, the leader of the local community, the council put before the local self-government a series of proposals, the realization of which would affect the quality of life of the locals, but he believes that priority should be given to the aforementioned road.

“For two years now, we have been asking for a road to be built along the rampart next to the Trnovacka River, from the Health Center to the dairy on the old road. We are convinced that this would greatly facilitate the operation of the Medical Emergency Service, which, especially now, has its hands full," Mr. Veljkovic said.  

Among the proposals of the residents of Bujanovac is the cleaning of the canal from the old road to the mineral water plant, as well as the construction of the sewerage system and the asphalting of the streets in Novo Naselje, whose inhabitants, according to Mr. Veljkovic, have none of the most basic infrastructure.

The asphalting of Brace Stosic and Prvog maja streets, near the Bujanovac kindergarten, as well as of Moravska and Vranjska streets, is also on the list of proposals.

“We also believe that it is necessary to install video surveillance at the entrance to the city. Almost all cities have that, and it would contribute to the safety of all the residents," Mr. Veljkovic said. .

The local self-government is in the process of drafting the budget and collecting proposals from all the stakeholders.
