The classes at the said department are held in both Serbian and Albanian. The aforementioned department was opened with the support of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Government of the AP (Autonomous Province) of Vojvodina, Novi Sad University, the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and the OSCE Mission to Serbia. 94 students with the Serbian, Albanian and other ethnic backgrounds enrolled in it.
