Bujanovac – Fatmir Hasani, a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia,  proposed to the Bujanovac volunteers from the "Serbia in Motion" NGO that they should, together with a few non-governmental organizations and the municipality of Bujanovac, do a project for the revitalization and protection of Bujanovac Lake. 

MP Hasani promised that he would, together with his colleague Nenad Mitrovic, commit to applying with the project at two to three ministries, and make sure it gets approved for implementation, along with the necessary financial support.

MP Hasani was, yesterday, at the meeting, which was, as part of the campaign “I Choose who I Voted for”, organized by four volunteers. Nenad Mitrovic, one of the two MPs from the Bujanovac municipality, was their interlocutor some twenty days ago, when the citizens had the opportunity to ask questions from the sphere of ecology, too.

During yesterday's talks on Bujanovac Lake, Snezana Milosevic, Head of the Ecological Society Bujanovac, pointed to the potential risk of leakage from the current earthen dam on the artificial lake. To solve this problem, it is necessary to build a new concrete dam.

Since the site is covered by the Spatial Plan of the special – purpose regional center for training units for multinational operations – base "Jug", Head of the Ecological Society reminded the organizers of the event that it was necessary to get the approval of the Ministry of Defense for all planned work.

At the end of yesterday's meeting, MP Hasani signed a request for the Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic, by which, he, on behalf of the citizens of Bujanovac, asked for a meeting with members of the Government, during which he would ask them questions.
