Medvedja – Excellent political relations between Serbia and Indonesia might expand in the future to include the field of economy, primarily the spheres of military and food-processing industry, as well as the sphere of tourism, said Samuel Samson, the Ambassador of the Far Asian country to Serbia, on the occasion of his first visit to South Serbia.

Presidents of 13 municipalities of the Jablanica and Pcinj district presented the potentials of the said district to the high – ranking visitor, which was followed by a visit to the “Lece” gold, lead and zinc mine, which is situated in the municipality of Medvedja. Although Indonesia is well-known as an attractive tourist destination, the Ambassador was impressed by the thermal water springs and the geyser in Sijarinska Spa, which could, according to him, be supplemented with the “eastern massage that the Indonesians are renowned for”.
The host of the event was Slobodan Draskovic, President of the Municipality of Medvedja, who spoke about the unused potentials of this multi-ethnic municipality.
