Belgrade – The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection launched a new program of subsidizing young farmers.
Belgrade – The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection launched a new program of subsidizing young farmers.
The incentives include providing financial support to the following programs:
1) Program to support investments for the purpose of developing and improving primary plant production and preparing agricultural produce for the market on young farmers’ farms
2) Program to support investments for the purpose of developing and improving primary animal production on young farmers’ farms
3) Program to support investments for the purpose of developing and improving the processing of milk, vegetables and fruit on young farmers’ farms.
Eligible to get the incentives are:
- Legally adult young farmers – holders of commercial family farms and
- Young entrepreneurs that, on the day of submitting their applications, have reached the age of 18, but are not older than 40.
Priority in ranking the submitted applications will be given to the investments related to the preparation for the sale or processing of primary agricultural produce for the purpose of achieving additional value of agricultural produce, especially if they come from underdeveloped areas with difficult conditions for farming, young female farmers, as well as persons who have appropriate education in the field of agriculture, or whose companies operate with a positive balance.
The procedure for exercising the right to incentives is launched by filing an application for the call, which is issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection – the Directorate for Agricultural Payment, for each calendar year.
The applicant submits only one application for the use of incentives in the calendar year, for one or more investments.
The maximum amount of subsidies per beneficiary is 1,200,000.00 dinars.
