Fruska Gora, Bujanovac – The “I Have Come to Play” basketball and educational camp on Fruska Gora’s Letenka picnic site is being held for the tenth time. The unique concept of work, learning and socializing in Europe proved to be valuable and sustainable at the first major jubilee of the camp. This year, around 150 participants in the event gathered in the camp.
Children from the former country, with emphasis on those coming from split environments, such as Mostar, Vukovar, Tuzla, Sarajevo and Bujanovac, were once gain at one place, and with a basketball, which, nonetheless, kept everyone together, participants in the event learned about socialization, fair play, teamwork, tolerance, environmental protection and about many other segments of society.
Mihajlo Delic, the creator and number- one- man of the camp is proud every year because there are many participants who are not there for the first time, and those who were in first and second year of the camp, are now adults who have become doctors, teachers and engineers.
“We have kids who have been coming here for a long time and when you offer them something good and see that it creates positive things in society in our region, you have no choice but to continue along the same path, " Mr. Delic said.
