Bujanovac – Hunting Association "Golub" marked the end of the hunting season with a wolf hunt, while socializing continued in the “Jezero” restaurant with music and a specialty, which was a half-tonne roasted ox for 250 Bujanovac hunters and their guests.
The end-of- season catch, which consisted of a wolf, a fox and a wild cat, was exposed in front of restaurant:
„The wolf was shot by hunter Svetislav Stankovic in Reon 3, specifically near Bujanovac Lake, the fox by Milan Trajkovic and the wild cat by Vahid Limani," says Nikola Veljkovic, the Hunting Grounds Manager. He also said that the „Golub“ hunting association, which has about 450 members, of whom one third are ethnic Albanians, was the best example of cooperation and friendship in Bujanovac.
Mr. Veljkovic added that wild boar hunting was to continue, which is in accordance with an instruction given by the Forest Administration, because of the African plague epidemic.
"During this season, our hunters shot 49 wild boars, 11 foxes and one wolf and wild cat each," Mr. Veljkovic does not hide his satisfaction, adding that the Republican hunting inspector Viktor Filipovski, too, attended the end of the season event.
After the hunt, it was time to relax in a slightly forgotten restaurant, which the hunters cleaned and fixed up for the occasion, waiting for the specialty – the ox on the spit, which Goran Jovic and Ivica Dimitrijevic were in charge of.
