Belgrade – Ana Brnabic, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, talked with Ambassador Andrea Orizio, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, about the participation of the said organization in the reform processes in the field of the rule of law, judicial reform and about the situation in the Serbian media.
During the talks, the Head of OSCE Mission to Serbia pointed out that Serbia, in the previous period, had devoted a lot of attention to the issue of national minorities, as well as to the improvement of the legal framework in that field. He stated that the OSCE Mission to Serbia was willing to continue cooperating with the government in terms of improving the rights of minorities. He said that a good example of it was the project of learning Serbian by members of the Albanian minority, which the OSCE was carrying out in the municipalities of Presevo and Bujanovac in the previous period. He underscored that he was positively surprised by the response of members of ethnic Albanians to learn Serbian.
Prime Minister Brnabic commended the Mission’s work, as well as Ambassador Orizio’s one, especially in encouraging dialogue at the national and regional levels, providing support to civil society and strengthening democratic institutions.
