During an inventory of the stock and supplies of the Bujanovac- based "Gumoplastika", which is a plant that was in bankruptcy for fifteen years, 25,000 pairs of shoes were
found in the warehouse. Some of them will be sold, while some will be written off due to deterioration in the material from which they were made.  The implementation of the reorganization plan for "Gumoplastika” was launched with the inventory of stock.    

Since “Gumoplastika" was in bankruptcy for the last 15 years, the Commercial Court in Leskovac adopted a plan of its reorganization, so that instead of being a public enterprise,  it became a limited liability company.  The inventories were listed, which will be followed by their evaluation.

President of the Coordination Body for South Serbia, Zoran Stankovic, said that they would try  to sell some of the shoes at lower prices.

"We will try to sell part of that manufacturing program at lower prices, as well as to write off the remaining part, depending on the existing damage on the footwear ", said Mr. Stankovic.

The government, through the Privatization Agency and the Coordination Body, financially helps the company to launch the production and find strategic partners. The funds collected by the sale of the stock will be invested in the production. 

Acting Director of “Gumoplastika", Nenad Ristic, says that shoes aren’t the only goods stored in the warehouse.

There are also other goods, such as large quantities of plastic products, construction plugs and electrical boxes, "says Mr. Ristic.

The factory covers the area of four acres, while a quarter of the factory is under roof. In addition to the administrative building, it includes a shop, a warehouse, a mill and footwear and plastic goods production lines.  

Only one machine, which was purchased seven years ago, is operational at the Bujanovac-based "Gumoplastika". It is Chinese-made and is meant for plastic packaging.
