Belgrade – Grammar schools throughout Serbia will offer prospective students to enroll in IT classes this year.

"The classes for students gifted for IT were introduced last year, but there were only eight such grammar schools, there was little interest, and many  students failed to pass the entrance exam. In addition to the existing eight grammar schools, another 52 state grammar schools, as well as six private ones,  that wished to teach IT, contacted the Ministry of Education.  The final number of schools will be announced in the competition for the admission to secondary schools, which will come out next month. The list of schools in which the students interested in this program will be able to take the entrance exam will be known then. The entrance exam is scheduled for June 3. The students will do only mathematics at the entrance exam, or intermediate and advance level math problems. There will be one or two math problems when students will need to use logical reasoning, "said Mary Krneta from the Ministry of Education.

All these students will later take the final exam, like all the other students, with the only exception that the fact that they passed the entrance exam would be recorded. They will be able to put into their wish lists IT classes in any city, but also all other educational profiles.
