Мedvedja – The meeting between Prime Minister Vucic and ministers and the governors of five districts, and the municipal presidents and mayors from the southeastern Serbia, was attended by the Mayor of Medvedja, Nebojsa Arsic, too, who, on that occasion, stressed the problem of infrastructure in the municipality of Medvedja.

”I laid stress on the problem of infrastructure, or on the Medvedja – Lebane road, which is in a disastrous state. One section of the road is already done, but there are still kilometers of the road to be reconstructed. I, then, underscored the problem of the “Lece” mine, because the contract signed with the "Life Stone Capital" Company expires on November 8, which is very important, since the fate of the mine is also the fate of Medvedja, since it employs 380 workers, "said Mayor Arsic.

The Mayor of Medvedja was assured by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic that the Government of the Republic of Serbia would have understanding for the municipality of Medvedja and would try to help it.

Mayor Arsic added that he had presented to Prime Minister Vucic the potential of Sijarinska Spa, which could be much more exploited, and noted that the investor from Slovenia was interested in investing in the former pellet plant in Medvedja. Their project is currently at the Development Agency of Serbia and, if all goes according to plan, they will open 110 working places in Medvedja.
