Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja – As required by the law, socially vulnerable schoolchildren will get free school textbooks, while pursuant to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, disabled children will get them, too.

Free textbooks for around 86,000 students from the first to the eighth grade of primary school are on their way to schools. Distribution has already begun. Sets of school books donated by the state will arrive in primary schools before students take their seats in classrooms on September 1.

“In compliance with the Strategy for Encouraging Procreation, this is the first time that every third and subsequent child in the family will get the textbooks – and there will be 35,657 primary school students that will get free textbooks for the upcoming school year, "said Vesna Nedeljkovic, Deputy Minister of Education in charge of pre-school and primary education.

However, for families with more than two children to exercise their right to receiving primary school books from the state, all the kids in the family should be included in the educational system.
