Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja – The Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja provided free school supplies to the students who started attending the first grade of primary schools in these municipalities. 899 first graders received free backpacks and school supplies.  

Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body, handed out free sets of school supplies to the first graders in elementary schools "Vuk Karadzic" and "Ibrahim Kelmendi" in Presevo and wished them a happy start of going to school and a lots of success with it.

 “We provided free school supplies and backpacks to the first graders this year as well in order to make the beginning of their schooling nicer,” Mr. Stankovic said.   

The President of the Coordination Body told reporters that the free school supplies had been provided to the first graders for ten consecutive years.

“Given that these three municipalities fall into the category of underdeveloped municipalities with a high unemployment rate, the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia wanted to show concern for the citizens of these municipalities, as well as to help the parents and make it in some way easier for them by relieving them of the expenses for school supplies and backpacks,“ Mr. Stankovic said. 

The entire process of providing school supplies was conducted in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement.
