The fourth Biber short story competition has started. Short stories can be submitted by the authors who write in Serbian, Albanian, Macedonian, Bosnian, Montenegrin or Croatian, as well as by those who have not had their short stories published yet.

The fourth Biber short story competition has started. Short stories can be submitted by the authors who write in Serbian, Albanian, Macedonian, Bosnian, Montenegrin or Croatian, as well as by those who have not had their short stories published yet.
The theme of the competition has been expanded. In addition to the stories that deal with reconciliation in the context of the legacy of wars and violence in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, also included are the stories that can contribute to a better understanding among the peoples and the reduction of hatred and prejudice, anti-war stories, stories dealing with the past and deconstruction of the images of enemies, compassion for others, courageous stories, stories that push the boundaries and open the way for us to build a more reliable, secure and free future for everyone.
The competition is open until December 1, 2020.
The authors of the top three stories will be awarded cash prizes.
At least twenty selected papers will be published in a multilingual journal.
The competition is organized by the Biber team, with the support of the Center for Non-Violent Action Sarajevo-Belgrade.
