Bujanovac, Vranje – 197 patients were hospitalized in four COVID hospitals in the Health Center in Vranje, where 19 beds are still available, while the Health Center in Bujanovac is waiting for the results of COVID-19 tests for slightly less than 30 persons.

All patients in the Health Center in Vranje have bronchopneumonia, 46 of them are on oxygen, while the most severe cases are referred to the Nis Clinical Center, the Radio and Television of Serbia reports.

Almost 90 percent of patients in the COVID surgery in Bujanovac have the same diagnosis, the number of people seeking medical assistance is growing compared to last week's 80 to 90 persons a day, while some of them have been waiting for test results since July 7.

The corona infection of six residents of the municipality of Bujanovac was confirmed  on Monday.

Ljiljana Antic, the Director of the Vranje Health Center, announced the possibility of opening another COVID hospital.

“We have not yet reached a decision on where the next COVID hospital would be. If necessary, we will make it at a meeting of our Emergency Management Staff. We are of the view that the fifth COVID hospital could still be opened within the Health Center. We are considering one ward or maybe a field hospital, because the medical workers of the Health Center could be reassigned to all four or five COVID hospitals, "she said for the Radio and Television of Serbia.  

Two days ago, epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic mentioned the option of turning the Special Hospital for Rehabilitation in Bujanovac Spa into a COVID hospital, but the Director of that institution, Goran Nedeljkovic, said that it would be difficult to do.
