Damnjan Popovic Cole, a representative of the “Kolo” folk ensemble, said that the traditional festival of folk dances and songs had begun in Vranjska Spa at 9 pm the evening before.
"This year's festival hosts our friends from the "Azov Cossacks" folk ensemble from the Russian city of Azov, then a folk ensemble from Slovakia and a folklore group from Macedonia. They will, together with us, take part in the Saint George’s Day procession, which will on the day of the town of Bujanovac’s patron saints, Saint Peter and Paul, pass through the streets of Bujanovac. That will be followed by a concert in Karadjordje Square in Bujanovac, while a performance at a school playground in the village of Levosoje is scheduled for tomorrow,” Mr. Popovic said.
The concerts in Bujanovac and at the village of Levosoje begin at 8 pm.
