Said in a statement issued to the local media was that the "Movement for Reform of the Democratic Party of Albanians had recognized the importance of the elections for the National Council at a time when Albanians were facing serious problems in education, information, the use of the mother tongue, culture and national symbols."
The Movement for Reform of the Democratic Party of Albanians, which has existed since 2016 and which was established by a group of former members of the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA), is the fifth political party from Presevo and Bujanovac that declared that it would participate in the elections for the Albanian National Council.
Participation in the elections for the National Council has, so far, also been confirmed by the Alternative for Change (AP), which is led by Sciprim Arifi, who is the Mayor of Presevo, the Party for Democratic Action (PDD), which is led by Riza Halimi, the Democratic Party (DP), which is led by Nagip Arifi, and the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA), which is led by Ragmi Mustafa.
The elections for the national councils of national minorities take place on November 4, while the deadline for the submission of candidate lists is October 19 at midnight.
18 national minorities in Serbia will directly elect their national councils and they are as follows: the Albanian, the Ashkali, the Bosniak, the Bulgarian, the Bunjevac, the Vlach, the Greek, the Egyptian, the Hungarian, the German, the Polish, the Romany, the Romanian, the Ruthenian, the Slovak, the Slovenian, the Ukrainian and the Czech one.
